Silver Centerpiece

This late 19th century silver 800 figural centerpiece was fabricated by the renowned German silversmith 'Bruckmann & Söhne' from Heilbronn. It is crafted in the Rococo style; and presents a two-tiered domed base supported by four curved Rocaille feet.
The figural shank consists of a seated putto holding a bay leaf crown in his left hand, a symbol of victory.
The centerpiece is hallmarked on the base and underneath the removable bowl with the
following four marks:
1. Maker’s mark for Bruckmann & Söhne,
2. Standard quality mark for silver 800,
3. Crescent moon and crown for Germany.
